With 5+ years of teaching and a multicultural background (I’ve lived in the US, NZ, Canada, UK, and Hong Kong!), I specialize in **fun, encouraging lessons** tailored to your goals—whether it’s IELTS mastery, casual conversation, or career-ready English.
My scholarships (like the British Council IELTS Prize) and MA in Applied Linguistics from UCL help me teach *smarter*, but what truly fuels me? **Seeing students gain confidence**—in language, identity, or life. Let’s make learning joyful!

At the beginning of my working life, I had a dilemma that I had to choose between a full-time corporate job and a temporary teaching job. I ended up taking the full-time offer because I was worried about job security. After taking a detour for a number of years, I’ve decided to follow my heart quitting the full-time job and becoming a teacher. It used to be my greatest regret in life but now that I am a teacher and have opportunities to share my experiences with my students, I am so grateful for all various work experiences I have had. My teaching philosophy has always been the belief that people learn best when they’re having fun and being encouraged. Being a teacher nowadays is not just about educating, but it’s also about facilitating and coaching. Moreover, I admit that even though I am teacher, I still have much to learn. 100% recommend! I have been having weekly lessons with Kru Cake for about half a year now. I am a Thai language major at university so I have plenty of Thai classes, but I still prioritise these weekly lessons with Cake because they provide me with the speaking practice that is so essential to learning a language. Lessons with Cake are never boring because they are a creative and smart person who is happy to have a laugh or to talk about serious topics. They are very patient, let me speak as much as I like, and provide me with corrections in an encouraging way. They are a great teacher who really goes above and beyond. Today was my 10th lesson with Kru Cake.
Starting today, Kru Cake began teaching me how to read Thai.
By introducing new vocabulary, Kru Cake helps me gradually become familiar with Thai script while expanding my vocabulary. I think this method is truly amazing!
In our lessons, we not only learn through natural conversation, but Kru Cake also uses videos to help me practice listening and comprehension.
All in all, Kru Cake’s teaching style makes learning Thai really enjoyable and gives me the motivation to keep studying every day. Thank you, Kru Cake!

Kru Cake always gives me lots of chances to practice speaking Thai in every class. Lately, we’ve been doing short listening and comprehension exercises through videos, which also help me learn new vocabulary. This makes the lessons more fun and engaging. In the last couple of lessons, Kru Cake started helping me practice reading and recognizing Thai letters. They have also been asking me questions, and I get to try answering them.
Big thanks to Kru Cake for always being so supportive and encouraging!

I’ve just finished my 8th Thai class with Kru Cake, and wow — I’ve learned so many new words! 😄 Every lesson makes me feel like I can say longer, more complete sentences. What’s really cool is that I get to reuse words from previous lessons, so things are starting to stick! Even the words I used to struggle with are finally clicking after practicing them again and again. Loving this journey so far! 💪🇹🇭
